In the cookie information is stored, each resulting in connection with the specific terminal used. However, this does not mean that we are immediately aware of your identity.

On the one hand, the use of cookies serves to make the use of our offer more pleasant for you. For example, we use so-called session cookies to recognize that you have already visited individual pages on our website. These are automatically deleted after leaving our page.

In addition, to improve usability, we also use temporary cookies that are stored on your device for a specified period of time. If you visit our site again to take advantage of our services, it will automatically recognize that you have already been with us and what inputs and settings you have made, so you do not have to re-enter them.

Also, we use cookies in order to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offer (see Section 5). These cookies allow us to automatically recognize when you visit our site again that you have already been with us. These cookies are automatically deleted after a defined time.

The data processed by cookies are for the purposes mentioned in order to safeguard our legitimate interests as well as third parties according to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR required.

We collect this consent and input through our cookie consent management tool (“OneTrust”), provided by OneTrust, LLC (UK headquarters: Cannon Green, 27 Bush Lane, London EC4R 0AA, UK and US headquarters: 1350 Spring Street NW, Suite 500, Atlanta, Georgia 30309, USA). OneTrust is used to save the cookie settings for the entire website. This enables us to prevent cookies from being set in every category in the user’s browser if consent is not given. OneTrust uses cookies for information storage that have a normal lifespan of one year, so that the preferences of returning visitors are saved.

  1. Analysis and Tracking tools

The tracking measures listed below and used by us are based on Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. With the tracking measures to be used, we want to ensure a needs-based design and the continuous optimization of our website. On the other hand, we use the tracking measures to statistically record the use of our website and evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offer for you. These interests are to be regarded as justified within the meaning of the aforementioned provision.

The respective data processing purposes and data categories can be found in the corresponding tracking tools.

i) Google Analytics

For the purpose of customizing and continually optimizing our pages, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (https://www.google.com/intl/en/about/) (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereafter “Google”). In this context, pseudonymised usage profiles are created and cookies (see point 4) are used. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website such as

browser type / version,
used operating system,
Referrer URL (the previously visited page),
host name of the accessing computer (IP address),
time of server request,

are transmitted to a Google server and stored there. The information is used to evaluate the use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage for the purposes of market research and tailor-made website design. This information may also be transferred to third parties if required by law or if third parties process this data in the order. Under no circumstances will your IP address be merged with any other data provided by Google. The IP addresses are anonymized, so that an assignment is not possible (IP masking).

You can prevent the installation of cookies by setting the browser software accordingly; however, we point out that in this case not all features of this website may be fully usable.

You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing a browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en).

As an alternative to the browser add-on, especially for browsers on mobile devices, you can prevent the collection by Google Analytics by clicking on this link. An opt-out cookie will be set that will prevent the future collection of your data when you visit this website. The opt-out cookie is only valid in this browser and only for our website and is stored on your device. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you must set the opt-out cookie again.

For more information about privacy related to Google Analytics, see the Google Analytics Help Center (https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en).

ii) Google Adwords Conversion Tracking

To statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our website, we also use Google conversion tracking. In doing so, Google Adwords will set a cookie (see section 4) on your computer if you have reached our website via a Google ad.

These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of the Adwords customer’s website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and the customer can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page.

Every Adwords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies cannot be tracked via the websites of Adwords customers. The information gathered using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for Adwords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Adwords customers get the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a conversion tracking tag page. However, they do not receive information that personally identifies users. In order to meet the requirements of the GDPR, we have agreed corresponding standard contractual clauses with Google.

If you do not want to participate in the tracking process, you can also refuse the required setting of a cookie – for example, via a browser setting that generally disables the automatic setting of cookies. However, you may not be able to use all features of this website to the fullest extent. You will not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. You can also opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Ads Settings. For instructions, see https://support.google.com/ads/answer/2662922?hl=en. In addition, you may disable the use of third-party cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative deactivation page at https://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/ and implementing the opt-out information listed there.

For more information and Google’s privacy policy, please visit: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.

iii) Google Signals

To tailor the way we design and continually refine our pages, we use Cross Device Tracking via Google Signals, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (https://www.google.com/intl/en/about/)(1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View , CA 94043, USA, hereafter “Google”). In this context, pseudonymised usage profiles are created and cookies (see point 4) are used. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website such as

browser type / version,
used operating system,
Referrer URL (the previously visited page),
host name of the accessing computer (IP address),
time of server request,
Selected settings,
Access to the website with various devices,

are transmitted to a Google server in the US and stored there.

You can prevent the installation of cookies by setting the browser software accordingly; however, we point out that in this case not all features of this website may be fully exploited.

You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing a browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de).

Ultimately, Google Signals will only work for you if you’ve enabled personalized ads in your Google Account. You can therefore prevent cross-device, anonymized evaluation of your account by disabling the personalized ads in your Ads settings. More detailed information can be found here: https://support.google.com/ads/answer/2662856.

iv) Google Remarketing component

We use the remarketing function on our website. This is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as “Google”.

We use this function to place interest-based, personalized advertising on third-party websites that also participate in the Google advertising network.

The legal basis is Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our internet platform.

In order for this service to be possible, Google stores a cookie with a sequence of numbers on your end device via your Internet browser during your visit to our platform. This cookie records both your visit and the use of our platform in an anonymous form. However, personal data will not be passed on. If you then visit the website of a third party, which in turn also uses the Google advertising network, advertisements may appear that relate to our website or our offers there.

For the permanent deactivation of this function, Google offers for the most common Internet browsers https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin a browser plugin. In addition, the use of cookies by certain providers, e.g http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices or http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/ can be deactivated via opt-out.

Through so-called cross-device marketing, Google may be able to track your usage behavior across multiple devices, so that you may be shown interest-based, personalized advertising even if you change devices. However, this presupposes that you have agreed to the linking of your browser history to your existing Google account. Google provides more information about Google Remarketing at https://www.google.com/privacy/ads/ on.

v) Google Charts

This page uses the diagram generator Google Charts via an API. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. In order to use the functions of Google Charts, it is necessary to save your IP address. This information is usually transmitted to a Google server and temporarily stored there. The provider of this site has no influence on this data transfer. Google Charts is used in the interest of an attractive presentation of our online platform. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter f GDPR. You can find more information on the handling of user data in Google’s data protection declaration: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en

Hotjar stores this information in a pseudonymous user profile. The information is neither used by Hotjar nor by us to identify individual users, nor is it merged with other data about individual users. In order to meet the requirements of the GDPR, corresponding standard contractual clauses have been agreed with LinkedIn.

You can prevent the installation of cookies by deleting existing cookies and deactivating the storage of cookies in the settings of your web browser. We use Instapage for hosting our landing pages and their web analysis. The provider of these services is Instapage Inc., 18 King Street, Suite 450, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (“Instapage”). Instapage is a web-based software that enables us to create individual pages, split them up and manage them. In addition, we can track and analyze the reaction of users to the data traffic or their behavior after the created landing pages have been changed in terms of structure, text or other components.

Instapage acts for us as a processor within the meaning of Art. 28 GDPR and processes the data collected on our landing page exclusively on our instructions. When you visit a page hosted by Instapage, your browser connects to the provider’s server. The provider collects and stores the data that you provide on the site (e.g. when making an inquiry via a contact form) and makes it available to us. We have agreed corresponding standard contractual clauses in order to meet the requirements of the GDPR.

Instapage also sets a cookie with which your usage behavior on the site is recorded and evaluated for us in anonymised usage statistics. The data collected (IP address; user ID; date and time; title and URL of the page visited; referrer URL; screen resolution; files accessed and downloaded; links to other pages clicked; time required to load the page; language settings, browser type / – version) will not be merged with the data you have provided on the site.

x) Facebook

Social media plugins from Facebook are used on our website to make its use more personal. For this we use the “LIKE” or “SHARE” button. This is an offer from Facebook.

When you call up a page on our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection with the Facebook servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted directly from Facebook to your browser, which integrates it into the website.

By integrating the plugins, Facebook receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a Facebook account or are not currently logged into Facebook. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to a Facebook server in the USA and stored there.

If you are logged into Facebook, Facebook can assign your visit to our website directly to your Facebook account. The information is also published on Facebook and shown to your Facebook friends.

Facebook can use this information for the purpose of advertising, market research and the needs-based design of Facebook pages. For this purpose, Facebook creates usage, interest and relationship profiles, e.g. to evaluate your use of our website with regard to the advertisements shown to you on Facebook, to inform other Facebook users about your activities on our website and to provide other services related to the use of Facebook. In order to meet the requirements of the GDPR, we have agreed corresponding standard contractual clauses with Facebook (Standard Contractual Clauses, SCCs)

If you do not want Facebook to assign the data collected via our website to your Facebook account, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our website. The following link offers a simple way of completely deactivating data collection by Facebook: Facebook opt-out. If you click this link, any data collection by Facebook on our site is prevented by means of an opt-out cookie. Please note that you have to set this opt-out cookie on all of the devices you use individually by clicking on the opt-out link.

The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook as well as your related rights and setting options to protect your privacy can be found in Facebook’s data protection information (https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/).

xi) Microsoft Advertising (formerly Bing Ads)

  • Bing Ads Conversion Tracking

We use the “Bing Ads Conversion Tracking” application from Microsoft Corporation (“Microsoft”) to measure the reach of advertisements. It determines how successful our individual advertising campaigns are on Bing and Yahoo. In this way, we want to develop and display advertising that is of interest to you and make our offer more attractive. For this purpose, the UET Tag (Universal Event Tracking Tag) from Microsoft is integrated into our online offer. This JavaScript code enables Microsoft to use cookies to collect pseudonymised data about your visit and the use of our online offer (e.g. about the browser session and the website displayed) and, on this basis, aggregate, non-personal statistics (how many visitors have e.g. reached a certain target page). This enables us to understand the actions that have taken place after an ad was seen on Bing or Yahoo or after it was clicked. The legal basis for processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

  • Bing Ads remarketing

We also use the “Bing Ads Remarketing” application. This application enables us to show you our advertisements after you have visited our website when you continue to use the Internet. This is how we want to show you advertisements that are of interest to you. This is done using a cookie stored in your browser (see above), which is used to record and evaluate your usage behavior. No personal information is given to us about the individual website visitors and we can only advertise website customer target groups in a targeted manner if the customer target group has reached a critical size in terms of numbers. This makes it impossible for us to determine individual identities of visitors.

You can turn off tracking in a number of ways. You can prevent the storage of cookies in your browser settings, whereby our online offer may then only function to a limited extent for you. You can also prevent Microsoft from collecting data on this online offer by clicking here: https://choice.microsoft.com/en-US/opt-out. An opt-out cookie is set which prevents future recording when you visit our online offer. Please note that if you delete all cookies on your device, this opt-out cookie will also be deleted; should you therefore wish to continue to object in this case, you will have to set the cookie again using the link above. The opt-out cookie is set per top-level domain, per browser and per device and only prevents collection for this online offer. In addition, you can deactivate the interest-based advertisements of the providers that are part of the self-regulation campaigns “YourAdChoices” (optout.aboutads.info) or, for example, the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org), whereby this setting is deleted when you change your Delete cookies. You can also deactivate interest-based ads at advertise.bingads.microsoft.com/en-us/resources/policies/personalized-ads. The legal basis for processing is Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Our concern within the meaning of the GDPR (legitimate interest) is the optimization of our online offer and our website. Since the privacy of our visitors is important to us, the data that may allow a reference to an individual person, such as the IP address, login or device ID, is anonymized or pseudonymized as soon as possible. It will not be used for any other purpose, combined with other data or passed on to third parties.
